Pick a Lane

In combing through countless modules in my Floret Flower Farm Program (which I was gracious enough to have been gifted by their team!) there is one statement that plays over and over again in my head - "pick a lane". I can't stop thinking about that particular module because those words are constantly coming back in my thoughts pressuring me to make a choice. You see, you can do all things good, but you can't do all things GREAT. Something has to give when your focus and energy is being split between so many different areas.

Bouquets / Floral Arranging

One thing that has definitely suffered in my quest to do all things good, is my own garden beds. Walking by them on my way to the greenhouse and not having ten minutes to stop and pull a weed makes me feel less than. Less than great for sure - and they look less than great to me.
It's funny, call it negativity, and inherited trait, but I have a horrible habit of not seeing the flowers and only focusing on the weeds, messy edging, and deadheading that needs to be done. Everyone who came to the farm last year was full of compliments, and yet my reply to them every time was the negatives I saw, and I assumed everyone else saw them too, but they did not.
So perhaps in picking my lane, I must start with myself. Do what makes me the happiest, do what brings some much-needed financial help to my family and do what I think I can do GREAT.
Thanks for following me on my flower journey -

I love watching you on your journey...you will do great things....I just know it...pssttt take the road less traveled!
